Discover the Art of Soap Making: Create Cream & Liquid Soaps

Learn how to make two different types of hot process soaps, cream, and liquid soap, right from the comfort of your home. This course will guide you step-by-step in creating cream and liquid soaps, a rare and valuable skill, especially after many soap supply stores have discontinued classes due to staff shortages caused by COVID-19. Even before the pandemic, few taught how to make cream soaps.

The course is inspired by the works of Catherine Failor, author of "Making Natural Liquid Soaps" and "Making Cream Soap." As a chemistry graduate, I appreciated her work and the care she put into crafting her recipes and explanations. I added my own introductory science discussion in hopes that more people, especially young women, will explore careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields.
